3 Words Worth a Million

I was working on cleaning up Aleeyah's craft stuff while she took a nap. I've found that this is the best time to do this. If I attempt to do it while she is awake, she is SO insistent that we keep EVERY piece of artwork. She loves to draw and write lately. So you can probably imagine how much artwork we have around here.

I've limited myself to keeping only the items that I can fit in one plastic storage container-per year. We keep her boxes at the top of her closet. Each box holds special papers, her birthday invitation that year, cards she received, a special outfit or two, and anything else deemed box worthy! It helps me from holding onto too many things.

While cleaning up her stuff, I came across a picture that made my heart melt.

It immediately brought tears to my eyes when I saw the creation she made all on her own. My little 4 1/2 year old, attempting to write a {very (:} small sentence about loving her mommy, (not sure why she didn't get her name right this time), a picture of the two of us, and her "Jesus stickers" in hearts!

It made me want to go wake her up and kiss all over her, but instead, I think I'll see what other treasures I can find in her artwork stash!

I love this post, Abbie! I have notes all over my house right now that the girls have written me and taped places (the computer, the treadmill, Kevin's drums, etc). They are such sweet reminders that my girls love me.

Sydney is sitting here reading over my shoulder!
