Prayer Suggestion #8

Today, we begin our feast in prayer for the children and their families living in poverty. I plan to have ideas throughout the day to aid in your prayers for children living in poverty. If you are stuck not knowing how to pray for children and their families for 20 minutes or longer for some, you are welcome to stop by and get some ideas. They will be simple and not meant to take away from how the holy spirit guides you through your prayer.

Compassion says, "Nearly 30,000 children die under age 5 die every day, mainly from preventable diseases and related causes." Children are being born to mothers who are victims of rape and sex slavery. Mothers who weren't ready to be mothers. Other children are born to mothers who lack the necessary essentials to provide for their children. Mothers are unable to care for themselves, much less their children. Compassion's Child survival program is a way of getting educated about sex and mothering a child. It provides basic needs for both the mother's and children.

Pray for the mothers and children who are currently getting the help they need. Please pray for the mothers who are unable to take part in such a program. Pray for their unborn children. Ask God to give them the desire to be good mothers and give them someone to help them through it. Ask God to bring their children into the world safely.

Consider giving to the Child Survival Program.

Sponsor a child online through Compassion's Christian child sponsorship ministry. Search for a child by age, gender, country, birthday, special needs and more.
